
Marriott International is preparing to introduce its select-service brand AC Hotels by Marriott in India, according to an exchange filing by asset developer Ventive Hospitality.
In a filing this week, Ventive said operations at Aloft Bengaluru Whitefield, owned through its wholly owned subsidiary Urbanedge Hotels Private Limited, have been temporarily suspended for about a year to allow for a comprehensive renovation and repositioning of the property.
The pause is intended to facilitate upgrades to facilities and service offerings, along with the addition of new rooms, with the goal of elevating the hotel to the standards of a premium hospitality brand “such as AC Hotels by Marriott,” the filing said.
